Quick CARDIO Workout - AT HOME!
If you have limited time but want to get a bit of a sweat on, the heart rate up, and generally feel like you had a good, productive workout, I suggest trying this one. It is pure cardio so be warned.
Take breaks when you need it, then go back to it. Emphasis on need, not want. Remember, something is better than nothing, so just do it! #noexcuses
Target: Cardio (+ some sneaky core added in)
Difficulty: Intermediate to advanced, but you can modify everything to adjust it to your level. (Modifications are written below, not shown in the video)
Equipment: None
AMRAP
10x Burpees*
15x Squat Jumps**
20x High Knees w/ Oblique Rotation (10 each side)***
25x Jumping Jacks/ Star Jumps
30x Shadow Boxing (15 each side)
*Modification: If it’s too difficult, first try eliminating the jump at the top and see if that’s doable. If not, try keeping the jump but instead use a chair/bench/table for your hands instead of going all the way to the floor. A Burpee is supposed to be a very challenging exercise, so whichever version you choose, make sure it is difficult to do 10 reps.
**Modification: Take out the jump by doing a Squat to Tip Toes.
***Modification: Remove the rotation and/or go slower with less of a jump.
